Dofollow checker
Got listed somewhere? Paste that page and your domain. In a few seconds you will know if your link is there, and whether it is dofollow or nofollow.
Dofollow vs nofollow, in one minute
A dofollow link is a normal link. Search engines can count it as a vote for the page it points to, which is why links from established sites help a new site get found.
A nofollow link has a rel attribute that asks search engines not to count it as a vote:
rel="nofollow": the classic way to say "don't count this link".rel="ugc": user-generated content, such as comments and forum posts.rel="sponsored": paid or affiliate links.
noopener and noreferrer are about security and privacy, not SEO. A link with only those is still dofollow. Nofollow links are not worthless: they still bring visitors and make your product easier to find by name.
What the results mean
- Dofollow: at least one link on the page points straight to your domain without nofollow, ugc or sponsored.
- Nofollow: your link is there, but every link to your domain is nofollow, ugc or sponsored.
- Missing: no direct link to your domain in the page the server sends. The site may use its own redirect, add the link with JavaScript, hide it from visitors who are not signed in, or the listing may not be approved yet.
- Could not check: the page blocked us in robots.txt, did not answer, or is not a normal web page.
Check again after 30 days. Directories sometimes change free listings to nofollow or remove them.
